We are huge fans of the classic ‘Any Card at Any Number’ (ACAAN) trick, but Christian Grace’s ‘Switch One’ could be a strong contender for our new favorite. It seems like he has a sixth sense for creating truly exceptional magic.
One of my favourite projects of his, was released on Ellusionist, and is known as Any Card to Pocket!
Here’s what it looks like…
A spectator takes the deck and counts out 10 cards. They think of any one of these cards. Upon recounting, they find only 9 cards left — their thought-of card is gone. To their amazement, you reveal it’s been in your pocket all along.
This trick is so powerful, so hands off, so startling, that if you wanted to blow someone away, you could just do this one effect!

When you decide to subscribe to Christian Grace’s Magic Monthly, here’s the precise process you’ll undergo:
1: Checkout Process: The subscription fee is listed at £12.99, but it’s interesting to note the transition from pounds to dollars during the process. Additionally, sales tax/VAT is applied, which wasn’t immediately apparent due to the currency conversion. As a result, the actual cost is closer to £15 a month, or $19.
2: Product Delivery: Following your purchase, you’ll receive a receipt via email. However, don’t expect an onboarding email or anything of the sort. Instead, you’re directly taken to the members’ area. The setup there is quite basic, featuring a simple list of 60 items. Each item, predominantly, includes performance videos, which is a nice touch. Yet, it’s challenging to gauge the size of the community within the members’ area or to know exactly where to start. The list lacks guidance, failing to indicate a starting point, suggest a progression path, or categorize tricks by difficulty level. It’s unclear whether the list follows a chronological order or is arranged randomly.
As you can see, literally just 60 items in a list!
3: The Content: One of the highlights is that most of the effects come with performance videos. These videos not only build excitement before you dive into learning but are also filmed with a high-quality camera in a well-set studio. The studio he films in is nice but not like insanely high budget which is actually quite nice. The most impressive aspect, however, lies in the quality of the effects themselves. They are exceptionally good, showcasing a level of craftsmanship that very few magicians can match.
