Hey, are you looking for a few easy card tricks to impress your friends? Well, you’re in the right place because I was too and I put this list together for you of the easiest magic tricks out there!
An easy card trick that takes no effort on your part, no preparation, no dodgy angles, and best of all, no £100 price tag is almost like a unicorn; they don’t exist, and even if they do, it sure as hell is hard to find them!
You can go through literal hours of YouTube content, each promising to show you tricks like ‘Dynamo best trick ever REVEALED!!’, without encountering one decent tutorial. Likewise, you can shell out tenner after tenner on mediocre gimmicks and gadgets online, without actually getting any better at what you came here to learn: CARD TRICKS.
But don’t worry. I’ve done all the work and found 5 of the best beginner card tricks on the net, at the lowest prices (some even for FREE).
Easy Card Trick Number 6: What Card Am I Holding?
Seriously this is one of the easiest magic tricks you will ever find, and I promise you it will get huge reactions from your friends! Even with 13 years of magic under my belt I still turn to this trick sometimes just because it never fails me and always gets me a good reaction.
Ok, so for this trick ALL you’re going to need is any deck of cards.
Take a card in your hand and bend it slightly, you’ll see that if you bend it forwards you can spot the number and suit of the card with only a SLIGHT bend in the card.
Sounds confusing perhaps, but if you just take a card and bend it forwards you’ll see what I mean.
Now, this trick is really sold in the performance!
What I like to do is take the card, bend it slightly, rub it with my hand, and flick it! I tell the audience that just by hearing the sound it makes and feeling it I can tell what card I am holding.
The best thing is you can hand them the card and they can try it themselves by feeling the card and flicking it- focussing on that rather than seeing what it looks like when you bend it forwards.
I promise you this will fool almost anyone you try it on, you can do whatever performance you want and with just THREE minutes of practice, you’ll be ready to go fool whichever hot girl/guy you want to make out with. (Wives/husbands included.)
Easy Card Trick Number 5: Easiest Card Trick Ever!
Now, to kick this list off we have a free online tutorial provided by the brilliant Mismag822. Mismag’s channel is perhaps THE number one place to learn free and easy card tricks; he has hundreds of quality videos with detailed instruction on all kinds of tricks- math tricks, self working tricks, beginner/intermediate/advanced tricks. Here is a great little trick to give you a taste of the style of trick Mismag offers:
This trick is really tidy and effective- no preparation, no advanced moves, and the deck can be given out for inspection afterwards. Sure, it may not blow minds but it will definitely mystify and baffle people to the point of frustration.
Easy Card Trick Number Four: The Key Card
Now at No.4 on this list we have another free card trick tutorial, this time provided by the great channel Scam School. It’s an old video, but the trick, and more importantly, the concept discussed in this lesson you will see time and time again in card magic. It’s easy, lots of fun, and best of all, you always win.
Easy Card Trick Number Three: Cardtoon
Any of you who watch Britain’s Got Talent might have seen the magician Jamie Raven perform a card trick with a moving stickman that made Simon Cowell say “I now believe in magic. There’s no explanation for that.”
Here’s the performance for you:
Looks impossible right? It just can’t be real? Well it is, and in about five minutes you can get the trick too.
And the best thing about it is- you can perform this trick too! It’s easy, doesn’t require any preparation, and leaves your audience believing you really are a magician! Is any more description necessary?
This amazing card trick (Cardtoon), is available from most magic shops, and I think it is on Amazon too!
Easy Card Trick Number Two: Making a Card Vanish
I have to be honest with you here. No.2 spot on this list is, admittedly, not easy, or quick. That being said, neither is it actually as hard as it may seem. It deserves this spot simply because it is just too awesome not to be included.
This is the first thing I do when someone tells me to ‘do something magic’, and trust me, if it’s the only trick you ever learn, it would be worth it. It’s going to take some practice, and you’re undoubtedly going to mess up a few times to begin with, but once you have the move mastered, you can do it anywhere, anyplace, with pretty much anything that even resembles a playing card.
Without further ado, learn for FREE, how to make a card vanish.
Easy Card Trick Number One: The Invisible Deck
And finally, THE best quick and easy trick. A trick that is used by professionals around the globe. A trick that will convince people that you can literally read their mind. If you want to learn how to do magic, this is a huge step in the right direction!
The Invisible Deck is hands down the best quality trick you could buy for a tenner and under, and I’d dare say it’s better than most tricks over a tenner too. The spectator simply thinks of a card, inside their head, never writes it down or says it out loud. You tell them that not only do you know what card they are thinking of, you knew what card they would think of BEFORE you even asked them to think of a card. You ask them to name their card out loud for the very first time. You pull out a deck of cards. As you spread through the cards, they notice that one card is turned face down. Sure enough, against all odds, it’s their card.
This trick is almost the perfect trick- sure, you can’t exactly hand them the deck to look at afterward, but the angles are great, the preparation and setup are already done for you, and it gets amazing reactions.
So there you have it, my top 5 quick and easy card tricks. I hope you enjoyed this list!
I love card tricks. My favorite card trick that I played on a brother-in-law totally freaked him out and he has always been a bit scared of me ever since.
Time for me to get a few more card tricks in my repertoire. I will have to practice the tricks on the video.
Thanks!
Ramona
Wow, what was the trick, if you can recall? It’s funny how sometimes simple methods can get such great results! Definitely
