Despite all that, what’s devastating about the whole thing is this:
We’ll never know if OUR method was HIS method.
Now before you can say it, we agree…
...it IS romantic to leave behind a legacy of complete mystery, to have people guessing for the rest of time and eternity at your method, BUT it’s also very sad.
Because while the public wonders, magicians wish they could have spoken to you.
Magicians wish we hadn’t had to spend the best part of 80 years studying Chan’s work just to figure out how he got so DARN good.
