Ready?
Let’s Get Started.
Paper Magic Tricks Number 7 Pick: Buddha Papers
This is a classic table trick. Picture this:
The performer places a coin in the center of a yellow-colored square sheet of paper, folds it up into a small packet.
Next, he places the packet in the center of a green-colored square sheet of paper, as before he folds it into a small packet.
Finally, he places this packet in the center of a pink-colored square sheet of paper, again he folds it into a small packet.
This is placed on the table covered for a minute by the performer’s hand, then reopened with a surprise- the coin placed within the innermost packet is found to have changed to a currency note!
During the performance, spectators handle the papers themselves, which makes them thoroughly intrigued with the effect.

Paper Magic Tricks Number 6 Pick: Clippo Magic Trick
A classic from the past which fools everyone. Picture this:
The magician takes a strip of newspaper and using sharp scissors, cuts the newspaper into two pieces. They are incontrovertibly separate as he holds one in each hand-some distance apart! He places the two pieces together—one on top of each other—and cuts across them both with the scissors. He lifts one edge of the paper to hold up a single piece—apparently seamlessly RESTORED! A very impressive magical effect in which the audience actually sees the scissors cut through paper. Crazy.

Paper Magic Tricks Number 5 Pick: A Book Test
This kind of trick generally involves a spectator picking a book out at random, leafing through the pages, and settling on a single word, which you obviously could never know. Except you do know. And their mind is blown.
There are many, many variations on this classic of magic, a lot of them are free to learn, whilst others will take a bit of money before you get the secret.
For a free tutorial, I would recommend this video (it is obviously a more basic version, but great for beginners or those who don’t want to shell out their hard-earned cash):
As for book tests that you can buy, I would always go with Booked by Steve Valentine, but there are plenty of decent alternatives on the web if you have a look around. You can watch the trailer for that here:
Paper Magic Tricks Number 4 Pick: Coin Fold Magic Trick
Coin fold is a magic trick that has been around for a very long time. All you need is a piece of paper, a coin, and a magic wand that stays in your pocket.
The idea of the trick is to get the coin and fold the paper around it. Then once the paper is completely covering the coin, you pull out your magic wand and say the coin has disappeared.
You then rip up the paper package to show the coin has completely disappeared.
It is a great trick that should fool your audience as they really think the coin has magically disappeared from the package you made with the paper.

Paper Magic Trick Number 3: Mobius strip magic
A loop with a single twist in it is called a Mobius strip. The “Mobius Strip” is an actual mathematical phenomenon. You aren’t really doing magic, you’re doing math!
This is a really fun trick to perform. The effect:
The magician tries to fit a loop of paper around his wrist but it won’t fit. The magician says, “Hmmm, I’ll have to cut this loop bigger”. The magician takes a pair of scissors and cuts the loop in half up the middle. Instead of two loops, the magician ends up with one larger loop that now fits around his wrist!

Paper Magic Trick Number 2 Pick: Torn and Restored Paper
This trick is iconic.
Imagine this:
The magician displays a newspaper and unfolds it so it reaches its full size. He then tears it straight down the middle, puts the two torn pieces together, and tears it yet again. Then he takes the four pieces together and tears it ANOTHER time. He carries on doing this until all that’s left is a load of ripped-up pieces of paper. At this point, he scrunches all the paper together in his hand to form a single ball.
This is where the magic happens…
The magician says the magic word and opens up the ball of ripped paper. To the astonishment of his audience, the entire newspaper unfolds, without a single piece missing. This is an incredible effect that is performed by professional magicians all the time and for good reason. It’s strong, direct, and the method is very simple.

Paper Magic Trick Number 1 Pick: Paper Balls Over The Head Magic Trick
You don’t often get to see how the mechanics of sleight of hand and misdirection are accomplished by a master. But in this signature routine of magician Tony Slydini, “Paper Balls Over the Head,” the audience is in on the trick from the beginning.
Slydini specialized in close-up magic and analyzed how the movements of the magician’s hand and body could be used to focus the spectator’s attention to an incredible degree. One of his most famous tricks is a masterly demonstration of attention control. The premise is simple, the magician makes a number of paper balls vanish from between his hands without the spectator having any idea where they have gone. The rest of the audience is, however, in on the trick as they see the paper balls tossed over the head of the unsuspecting victim. It’s a clear case of the closer you watch, the less you see:
